The Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) released the appointment of its new presidential line as well as the full slate of officers and board members for 2019-2020 at the 2019 Annual Meeting May 2-4 in Orlando, Florida.
Larry D. Field, M.D., has been named AANA’s new president for the 2019-2020 term, followed by Brian J. Cole, M.D., as first vice president and Mark H. Getelman, M.D., as second vice president.
Dr. Getelman specializes in arthroscopic and minimally invasive reconstructive surgery in both shoulder and knee as well as sports medicine at Southern California Orthopaedic Institute (SCOI). He subsequently completed a one-year fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery and serves as co-director of the Fellowship Program at SCOI. He has published numerous articles and scientific papers on shoulder, knee and ankle topics in addition to teaching the latest arthroscopic surgical techniques to physicians both nationwide and worldwide.
