I was born in Kansas City, MO and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in athletic training at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. I then completed my Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas in 2007. Since graduation, I have worked as a Physician Assistant in Orthopedic Surgery, working in Missouri prior to moving to California and joining SCOI.
As a Physician Assistant at SCOI, I assist Dr. Mark Getelman in the office as well as the operating room as a surgical assistant. In clinic, I evaluate orthopedic conditions for the shoulder and knee. I perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, make diagnoses, formulate treatment plans, perform injections, and provide patient education. I practice at the Thousand Oaks office as well as the Van Nuys office.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the city, working out, reading, and most recently, learning how to golf.
I look forward to meeting with you!
